Overheard at the Market Saturday, November 3, 2007

I just returned from grocery shopping. I overheard a conversation in the wine section that gave me a chuckle:
A husband and wife were perusing the wine section, and the husband was looking at wines in the locked cabinets. That’s where the store puts the expensive stuff. He said to his wife, making a comment on an expensive bottle of wine, “We should have gotten this for Brian.” His wife responded, “For God’s sake, Brian’s on his fourth wife.”
Clearly, she didn’t think that an expensive gift to celebrate Brian’s wedding was worth the investment.
